Commodore Winter Challenge Meet Information
December 6, 2025 • STARTS AT TBD • Nashville, TN @ Vanderbilt Multipurpose Facility
CLERKING
- Running Events: All athletes must check in for their event at the clerking table no later than 30 minutes before, with their spikes in hand. Further, all athletes must report to the clerk for their event no later than 15 minutes before the scheduled start time. The clerk's location will vary for each event and will be listed and communicated with athletes at check-in. Adherence to these instructions is important to maintaining the meet schedule.
- Failure to report on time may result in the athlete being scratched from the event.
- Note: It is immensely helpful for coaches to report known scratches to the clerking table in advance, most especially for the 4x400m Relay.
- Field Events: check in with your specific event venue no later than 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start.
FINAL SCHEDULE/HEAT SHEETS/PROGRESSIONS
- The final schedule will be updated once entries close, and additional entry requests are accepted or denied. Final Schedule will be posted no later than 8pm on the Thursday before the meet.
- Heat sheets will be posted Thursday night and will indicate who will compete in open/unseeded or invite/seeded sections.
- Progressions will be sent out the week of the meet following entry deadlines.
SPECTATORS
- Entry Fee: $15 Kids 2 & under free
- Free parking at the 25th Ave. garage through the Highland Ave. entrance on floors 8-10
- Enter through the SEC lobby on the north end of the multipurpose facility.
- New as of January 2021: Vanderbilt University has adopted a new clear bag policy for all home athletics contests. This policy will be enforced for all spectators.
- All plans are tentative and can change at any time based on current COVID-19 protocols.
PARKING/WALKWAY TO FACILITY
- Teams will drop off at the gate leading into the indoor facility on Children’s Way.
- Team buses will park in the metered parking spaces on Vanderbilt Place, which starts at the intersection of Vanderbilt Place and 28th Ave. S.
- Team vehicles (vans, SUVs, etc.) will park in the parking spaces behind the indoor facility on Children’s Way.
- Entrance to the indoor facility, outdoor facility, and warm up field will be by wristband only.

200m Banked Hydraulic Track
General Admission Tickets will be on sale – $15/day. All athletes will receive an athletes armband in their team or individual packets which must be worn in order to gain access to the facility and track areas.
Awards:
Individual Awards: plaques will be awarded to individual event champions, medallions will be awarded to places 1-3. There will be no team scoring or -team awards. Awards available in Lobby.

QUALIFIERS LISTS
The top 8 from the KYA HS Indoor Classic on 1/3-4 will automatically qualify, the next 16 in each event will qualify during the December 2024-February 2025 season will be considered. Deadline for qualifying is 2/2/2026.
GATE FEE
General Admission Tickets will be on sale for $20.00. All athletes will receive an athletes armband in their team or individual packets which must be worn in order to gain access to the facility and track areas. Event Check-In
Check in Procedure: All Track athletes must be checked in when called – usually 30-45 minutes prior to the start of the race. All Field athletes will check in at their event site 45 minutes prior to the start of their event.
T-SHIRTS / AWARDS
Commemorative long sleeve shirts and hoodies will be on sale at the meet.
Individual Awards: State Meet Medals will be awarded to places 1-6 along with All-State Certificates. Relay Teams will be awarded a relay team plaque in addition to medals for the relay members. Team Awards to the top 5 scoring teams. Meet T Shirts available in the Lobby area – Packet Pickup. Awards will be handed out at the awards stand.

2026 NIKE INDOOR NATIONALSMEET INFORMATION

Facility
The Nike Track & Field Center at The Armory in Washington Heights, NYC, is a world-renowned indoor facility featuring a fast 200-meter Mondo track, hosting major events like the Millrose Games and Nike Indoor Nationals, serving thousands of athletes from youth to elite, and is known for its historic building and community focus on fitness and education, making it a premier spot for indoor track in the U.S
Key features:
- Track Surface: An Olympic-caliber, 200-meter Mondo track, considered one of the fastest in the world.
- Facilities: Includes field event stations, a four-sided scoreboard (Videotron), and seating for 4,000 spectators.
Bib Number:
- The athlete’s bib number serves as their pass into the meet.
- A $20 replacement fee applies for lost bib numbers.

Event Schedule: No public announcements or event calls will be made. Athletes and coaches are responsible for knowing the event schedule.
Warm-Up
- Athletes may warm up in the warm-up hallways on the second floor. Many athletes choose to warm up outside. Be sure to bring your bib with you if exiting the building.
- The track will be open for practice hours on Thursday before competition begins.
Running Events Check-In/Clerking
Event Order: Girls will compete first, followed by boys. Heat assignments are based on performance lists, with the "fastest" heat running last. In trials, heats will be randomized according to USATF rules.
Check-In Time: All athletes must report to the clerking area at least 30 minutes before the event start time. The clerking area is located on the track level.
Lane Assignments & Preferences
- 60m Dash, 60m Hurdles: Lane assignment is 4-5-3-6-2-7-1-8. Top 8 advance to finals.
- 200m, 400m, 4x200m, 4x400m, Sprint Medley: Lane assignment is 5-6-4-3-2-1.
- 200m: Top 10 advance to a two section final.
- 800m, Mile, 2 Miles, 5,000, 4x800, 4xMile, DMR: Lane assignments are random, per USATF rules.
Starting Blocks
- Starting blocks must be used in events of 400 meters or less. Athletes must start in a “down” position.
- Starting blocks will be provided on site at the Armory.
False Start
One false start results in disqualification of the offending athlete, as per USATF rules.
Awards:
- Medals: Awarded to the top eight places in all Championship event finals, and to the top six places in Emerging Elite, Club, Freshman, and Middle School divisions. All awards are distributed in the RunnerSpace Suite. Formal award ceremonies will be held for the Championship division only.
- Championship Necklaces are awarded to each winner in the Championship division, including relay teams.
- All-American Recognition: The top eight in the Championship division will be named NSAF All-American and receive All-American tees and certificates. You will also have access to the All-American Shop. Places 9-16 will be recognized as Second Team All-American and receive a certificate and will also have access to the All-American Retail
Athlete Gifts:
All competing athletes receive a commemorative Nike bag.
